Mneme Therapy

MnemeTherapy® uses everyday pleasures such as
singing, movement, painting and story telling in a
unique combination to stimulate dramatic
changes in the brain. Although our goal is
to provide a rewarding experience,
documented testimonies show significant
improvement in some clients in verbal
skills, mobility, combativeness, spatial
acuity, understanding instructions

plus much more!

Have you been searching for a way for your loved one to stay connected to the world?
Paulette’s Art is a provider of MnemeTherapy™, a one to one directed painting therapy.  Our mission is to help your loved one find engagement, connection, and stimulation through a supported creative process.

What is MnemeTherapy™?
MnemeTherapy™ uses everyday pleasures such as singing, movement, painting and storytelling in a unique combination to stimulate dramatic changes in the brain. Although our goal is to provide a rewarding experience, documented testimonies show significant improvement in some clients in verbal skills, emotional connection, coordination, spatial acuity, understanding instructions, visual tracking, combativeness, feelings of emotional well being and more!

Does your loved one struggle with finding moments of meaningful engagement?
Your loved one does not need to be an artist to be completely successful. in the MnemeTherapy™ process.  We instill a sense of purpose, engagement and stimulation. I like to say it's the process that is important not the outcome although the paintings are quite beautiful!

Does your loved one have a hard time participating in therapy that they don’t perceive as enjoyable?
Paulette's Art provides a whole brain and body, positive, recreational, therapeutic experience.  What does this mean?  Your loved one will not feel like they are being asked to do something that is not enjoyable, yet they will experience the holistic beneficial emotional, physical, and spiritual results. In short, we are the facilitators of joy and happiness.  When your loved one is in a state of creativity the brain is in a state of ease, balance, and well-being.  This when the brain is able to make new connections and reconnections!

Is your loved one demonstrating cognitive decline, word finding , declining motor skills, loss of vision or eye-contact, changes in coordination, and spatial acuity?
In our MnemeTherapy™ process we use patterning, bouncing, counting, follow me, singing, and many assessment games to encourage brain stimulation. We cross from right to left and use body mapping tools to encourage growth and awareness of spatial acuity.  Often after our sessions memories will come up and be expressed, moods are greatly elevated, and clients are awake, energized and engaged!

As a Mneme therapist I come to your home to provide the art experience in an environment that your loved one feels safe in.

I bring all the materials including covering to protect furniture and body from paint splatters.
.
I live and work in Reno and Sparks, Nevada.
